I spent Sunday and today working on the details of the new piece. I started with colored pencils, blending them with either my finger or a tortillion into the oil pastel base. I added further detail with the oil pastels and a brush dipped in turpenoid.

I had some extra time today, so I went through the new shoot, and although I was tempted to try a sexy witch in time for Halloween, I decided to do a nice closeup ‘glamour’ piece, something I haven’t done in quite some time. The shot worked pretty much as is, so little prep work needed to get it ready for drawing. I’ll show that in tomorrow’s post.
