With everything shipped out and no paintings in the works, it’s been a bit boring around here these past couple days. So I probably won’t write any more until I return from San Diego. If you can make it to the convention, please stop by my booth, #4502 – great prices, giveaways daily, and model Kneely will be in the booth each day.
I hope to see you there!
I’m still finalizing things for the Comic-Con convention next week, but I expect to be completely packed up tomorrow.
With the remaining time, I worked on the painted areas of the new piece. I started with the face, using gouache to color the eyes and lips. I used the same reds from the lips in her panties, and will bring it into the nail polish later. Next, I used a variety of browns for the hair, building up layers and textures. I also added some brown into the stockings, as well as outlining the body’s shadows. I used flesh color around the painted areas to help blend the pastels later. Then I mixed some red into the flesh for the areolae and fingernails. To finish the day, I covered all the skin with the textured gesso…

With less than two weeks until the convention, I’ve been striving to get everything ready so I don’t have to run around at the last minute. This weekend was finishing off the print work, plus starting to pack up the big box. It becomes like a puzzle, trying to figure out which pieces will fit where, making the whole box solid and everything inside safe. I have it laid out in one configuration that looks to work, but the final test is actually packing. that’s something I only want to do once, so I’ll wait until I’m certain there’s nothing else I need to add or change.
Meanwhile, I did find time to start a new art piece. This is an image I’ve had for some time now, but it wasn’t until now that it struck me just right, and I decided it would look good. Before drawing it on the board, I knew I wanted a toned background (light tan), and since it would be light, I decided instead of going through the whole masking process, just cover the entire board first.
So, here you’ll see the drawing on the colored background. I’ve darkened the image to try to bring out the pencil lines for you to see. In future photos you’ll see it more in its true color…

note – supposedly, I now have the blog adult-locked, so I will no longer be censoring the images.
I’ve begun packing up my stuff for the convention, and I’m undecided which paintings to bring (as well as prints). If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Either comment here or send me an email (located on my homepage).
Thanks!
I was very disappointed to miss out on that photo shoot Wednesday, so with no other ideas popping out to me, I returned to the 7Sins project and completed the final one, Sloth. The entire set can now be viewed on this page.
Also, I’m now offering complete sets of prints for a special price. The originals are being held back until Comic-Con, where those attending will get first chance to order the entire set. If you cannot go but are interested, please send me an email and I’ll mark you down for it if they don’t sell at the convention.

I’m preparing for my show at Comic-Con next month, and need to figure out what to bring. If there’s a painting in my gallery you’d like to see in person, write me or comment below.
Thanks!
I had another great shoot with model Kneely. She’ll be joining me in my booth next month at Comic-Con, so we shot some of the new ideas for my 7Sins projects, hoping to get it all done in time.
