Today I completed the paint portion, except possible detail and touch-up work at the end. Using black and grey gouache, I painted the shoes, highlighting them with white. I then went over the dress spots and bows, adding subtle grey shading with a grey gouache wash. I then painted over all the skin areas with the textured gesso (tinted with a bit of sienna brown, giving it a very light flesh tone)…

I had time tonight to start the oil pastels, completing the blocking for the arm holding the cupcake, but I didn’t get a chance to shoot a photo.
